Exactly What I Needed
My Maine Coon had recurring ear infections due to overgrown fur. This trimmer made it easy to gently trim around his ears without irritation. The precise blades and quiet motor keep him calm, and his ears have been much cleaner since. No more infections!

Great for paws
Works really well for a nervous british shorthair. The built in light is good, the blades cut the hair easily and the size is great for paws. Not too noisy either.

I have an 18 year old cat on a major decline. She's not just "not grooming" she's a long hair Maine Coon and I had been trying to cut the balls of fur and matts from under her pits and around her behind and titties and it was really hard to get downclose to the skin. I bought these... and I conditioned her to them by combing her mane and chops while also running it to accustom her to the sound, and pressing it against her without actually cutting anything so she would get use to the vibration on her skin and the sound. Took a little over a week, and then I was able to use this without her ripping my face off to get rid of most of the mats on her sides and tummy. Things got a little sketchy when I tried to get more personal, but in time, she trusted me to get to the other parts. I believe that as she started to experience more comfort from the areas shaved and then being rewarded with treaties for enduring it, that she was able to put 2+2 together and let me hone in on the more delicate areas. NOT ALL AT ONCE, but little by little. I love this tool. I think my cat does, too.

At first, my cat was super skeptical of anything new especially something that buzzes. But I was determined to make this work, because the matting on her rear was becoming a real issue, and brushing was just not cutting it.
I started slowly. I left the trimmer on her favorite bed without touching it. She sniffed it, pawed at it a few times, and eventually ignored it (which was a win in my book). A few days later, I turned it on near her just to let her hear the sound. It’s super quiet and low vibration, which made a big difference. She stayed nearby, curious but not running away.
Next step? Turning it on while petting her, letting her associate it with calm time. After about a week, I was able to do a light trim around her back legs while she was lounging—and to my surprise, she didn’t flinch.
Now, she actually seems to enjoy grooming time. It’s become part of our routine, and the mats are gone. Her fur looks and feels amazing—and most importantly, she’s more comfortable. I honestly couldn’t be happier with this little tool. It really changed things for us!

As a biology major and proud cat mom, I knew from the start that being a pet parent came with real responsibility, especially when it comes to hygiene.
When I adopted Jasper as a kitten, I made it a priority to get him comfortable with grooming early on. I started slowly, just letting him feel the trimmer near him, then touching it gently to his fur without turning it on. Bit by bit, he got used to it.
By the time he was six months old, trimming his rear and paw fur was just another part of our bonding time. I always believed that prevention is better than cure and keeping their private areas clean can truly avoid mayor issues.
This Belvedir trimmer has been with us from the beginning, and I wouldn’t use anything else. It’s gentle, quiet enough, and perfectly designed.
Jasper is now two years old, healthy, happy, and completely used to his spa days. Grooming isn’t stressful for either of us it’s just love, care, and a little peace of mind.
